Description of the study
The course is designed for people who want to work in a team to develop innovative devices for the communication of tomorrow. In two possible fields of study, the focus is either on hardware (communication systems) or on software (computer engineering). Students deal with today's challenges in communications engineering. They learn how messages are generated, processed and "transported" over long or short distances. A message can be, for example, the water temperature in a coffee machine, measurement data from a weather station, image information from a video source or voice and music signals from a microphone. In addition to satellite communication equipment, data and communication networks such as local networks between PCs based on Ethernet are also covered. Mobile radio networks or transmission and reception systems for radio, television and radar technology are also brought into focus.
