Industrial Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Studies in Flensburg
Description of the study
The Bachelor's degree course in Industrial Engineering - Electrical Engineering at Kiel University of Applied Sciences combines engineering expertise with business management thinking and thus opens up a wide range of professional fields between technology and management. In the course of their studies, students learn to recognize promising fields of application in information or energy technology and to develop them in an economically sensible way using existing or new technologies. They understand how technical innovations become marketable - and take responsibility for planning, organizing and managing the corresponding business processes.
Depending on the chosen specialization, students further develop their profile in one of the two technology areas relevant to the future. Those who opt for Sustainable Energy Systems deal intensively with topics such as the technical implementation of solar and wind energy, energy networks or efficient supply concepts. Modules such as “Fundamentals of Energy Technology”, “Solar Energy” and “Wind Energy” form the technical basis here. The Information Technology specialization, on the other hand, focuses on digital technologies and processes - from digital technology to requirements management and software development. The aim is to evaluate modern IT structures both technically and economically and to successfully introduce them into companies.
The course is practice-oriented. An integrated practical semester and close links with industrial partners enable students to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice at an early stage. The combination of technology, business and practice prepares students optimally for interface functions in project management, technical management consulting, sales or in the energy and digital economy - sectors that are in urgent need of interdisciplinary specialists.
