Description of the study

In the Master's degree program in Urban Planning at TH Lübeck, students deepen the skills they have acquired in order to work on complex planning and design tasks in cities and regions. Students are expected to take an in-depth look at legal, social and economic framework conditions as well as current transformation tasks. The course is practice- and project-oriented: In study projects, students work on real issues from the outset, develop concrete solutions and build up knowledge for integrated planning.

With a view to the energy transition and climate protection, climate competence is anchored as a cross-section. In the "City and Energy" module, for example, students develop urban energy concepts or evaluate energy infrastructures in terms of their sustainability. In the "Climate change and open space design" module, they learn to assess the consequences of climate change for landscapes and develop open space planning strategies.
