Antje Labes ist Professorin für Mikrobiologie und Molekularbiologie an der Hochschule Flensburg. Sie ist eine ausgebildete Mikrobiologin und forscht im Bereich der Biotechnologie mariner Naturprodukte. Ihr Hauptforschungsfeld die nachhaltige Nutzung mariner Mikroorganismen und und die Produktion mariner Naturstoffe im Sinne der Kreislaufwirtschaft. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen die Biologie mariner Pilze, bioanalytische Nachweismethoden, Remediation, nicht-fossile Produktion mikrobieller Produkte für Pharmazie und Kosmetik.
