Short description
Prof. Dr. Christian Buchmüller, Maître en droit has been Professor of European Business Law at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide since October 2014, where he is head of the interdisciplinary master's program "Green Energy" and Deputy Scientific Director of the Institute for the Transformation of the Energy System (ITE). At the ITE, he is also responsible for research in the field of "energy transition law". In (interdisciplinary) research projects, he deals extensively with legal issues of the energy transition (e.g. sector coupling, energy storage, heat and transport transition, digitalization of the energy transition). He studied law in Heidelberg and Aix-en-Provence and received his PhD from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. From 2007 to 2014, he worked as a lawyer specializing in energy, climate protection and public procurement law in Berlin.
