Dr. Claus Hartmann has stood for energy in transition for almost two decades. Born a farmer and with a doctorate in industrial engineering, he has impressive experience from various sectors such as industry, science and the energy industry. At Stadtwerke Flensburg, he was responsible for multi-million projects and actively contributed to the success of the energy transition as a manager. Dr. Claus Hartmann has been a lecturer in energy technology and energy economics at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences since 2015. He has been appointed Professor of Sustainable Energy Supply at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences for the winter semester 2023/24. In his private life, he lives with his wife and three children in Rendsburg on the Kiel Canal.
