Short description

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Böhnke is Professor of Computer Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and works at the Institute of Production Technology and CIMTT. He heads the AI group there. His work focuses on the interface between engineering and computer science. In teaching and research, he deals with the digitalization of mechanical engineering.

In the field of research, the focus is on the use of machine learning methods in the engineering context, especially in production. Some of the topics covered are: Condition Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance, Numerical Optimization and the processing of CAD data with AI.
