Marius Hübler
Short description
As part of my doctoral project, I am conducting research on municipal climate protection in rural Schleswig-Holstein. I am particularly interested in the question of what scope local governments have for promoting climate-friendly and sufficiency-oriented lifestyles and economies. In other words, climate protection that does not focus solely on energy efficiency and technical adaptations, but also creates framework conditions for sufficiency-oriented practices - for example, for land-saving forms of housing, nourishing economic activity or climate-friendly mobility. After a three-year PhD funding by the EKSH, I am a freelance PhD student at the Institute of Geography at the CAU in Kiel since September 2022.
