Electrical technologies - Studies in Kiel
Beschreibung des Studiums
The master's program in Electrical Technologies at Kiel University of Applied Sciences is aimed at graduates of bachelor's programs in engineering sciences such as electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technology management. The aim of this consecutive program is to deepen and expand existing technical and methodological skills in a targeted manner, particularly with regard to future management, control, and coordination tasks in technology-oriented professional fields.
The program is practical and application-oriented. It is divided into compulsory and elective modules that specifically prepare students for certain professional fields. In addition to classic content in electrical energy technology, automation, or communication technology, students can set their own priorities—for example, in mechatronics or digital signal processing. A special feature is the option to choose an additional module from other disciplines or even from other universities, which further strengthens the interdisciplinary nature of the program.
The program is designed to last three semesters and comprises 90 ECTS credits. In addition to in-depth technical knowledge, the program also focuses on soft skills: project work, leadership skills, presentation techniques, and interdisciplinary communication are integral parts of the curriculum. The modern laboratory equipment, close contact with industry, and the opportunity to participate in ongoing research projects create optimal conditions for a successful career start or a later doctorate.
Graduates are qualified for a wide range of technical and strategic tasks – for example in automation technology, mechanical and plant engineering, the energy sector, aerospace, or industrial research and development.
